The Autism Association of Western Australia respects the privacy of all information it holds in relation to people who use our services, our members, donors, and others, by complying with the National Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act (1988) and the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
Where we collect information, we do so for the primary purpose of providing services to people with Autism and their families, or for related activities of the Autism Association. All personal details of individuals are maintained in a secure manner. However, it should be noted that the Autism Association is required to release information about service users to Commonwealth or State disability funding bodies and to enable statistics about disability services to be compiled.
